Mr. Saravanan has a Master’s in Business Administration Management from Trinity University, UK. He has over 18 years of management experience in various field including technology commercialization and business strategy. He was formerly the co-founder and Executive Director of Biofusion Sdn Bhd, a BioNexus Status company involved in bio-composting activities which was named the Most Innovative Biotechnology Company in 2011 in Malaysia under a government initiative. Prior to this, he was the Vice President for Strategic & Planning for Lestari Pasifik Berhad, a company involved in production of biofuel derived using locally available biomass from oil palm plantation. He was also the Vice President, Business Development in Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation Sdn Bhd, a local government linked agency under the purview Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation which was mandated to promote biotechnology commercialization activities in Malaysia.
Mr. Navindran has a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) from University Malaya. He has over 9 years of management experience in technology management. He was formerly the co-founder and Executive Director of Biofusion Sdn Bhd, a BioNexus Status company, which is involved in bio-composting. He was also the Vice President (Business Development) for Lestari Pasifik Berhad, a company involved in the production of biofuel from oil palm plantations. Mr. Navindran was also the Sr. Manager at IBG Group, a BioNexus Status company involved in the production of bio-fertilizers for palm oil plantations. During his time at IBG, he headed the working committee on the public listing of the Company on the Malaysian Stock Exchange. Mr. Navindran also worked as a microbiologist in the research & development unit at CCM Duopharma Biotech, a Malaysian listed company involved in the production of Pharmaceutical products.
Mr Kumar has over 25 years of corporate experience with varied industries including audit, transportation, engineering, textile, palm oil specialty fats, rubber and bio technology. Mr. Kumar played a significant role in the successful public listing of his previous employer onto the Stock Exchange of Malaysia, and was subsequently head hunted by a multinational company (world largest manufacturer of a rubber based product) for the position of Group General Manager cum Director. Prior to engaging with the G&S, Mr. Kumar was the Chief Financial Officer of a company with a breakthrough technology in the green packaging business.
Ms Syarela has a Degree in Business Management and Diploma in Accountancy. She has vast exposure having worked with several agro biotech based companies for the past 9 years. She started her career with IBG Group Bhd, a BioNexus status company producing Biofertilizers. During her tenure, she successfully led the application of ISO 9001 status for few of its subsidiaries and was also part of the due diligence working group for the company’s public listing exercise in Bursa Malaysia. In 2010, she joined Biofusion Sdn Bhd as a Corporate & Admin Manager in which she spearheaded achievement of BioNexus Status and securing government funds for various bio-projects under the company. She extended her experience with Lestari Pasifik Berhad in coordinating with government authorities notably in securing grants. Ms Syarela is now the Chief Administrative Officer of Green & Smart Sdn Bhd bringing with her a wealth of experience.
Mr Thannimalai Renganathan, aged 32 graduated in Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology) with great enthusiasm for Green Technology from University of Malaya. He started his career with Sime Plantation Sdn Bhd in 2007 as an agronomist, and since then advanced in his career namely in agro-waste management and green technology fields. Mr Thannimalai has also been part of a research team, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Rosnani Abu Bakar based in University Putra Malaysia. The study entitled Biochemistry in Agrowaste Composting further enhanced his knowledge and interest in this field. He was involved in managing and setting up a co-composting palm oil mill waste plant in Woodland Plantation Bintulu Sarawak during his tenure under Biofusion Sdn Bhd. He also took the lead in setting up new biotech department under the main listed company, Satang Holdings. Under his management the department ventured successfully into both industrial and agro related waste management sectors.
